I have been testing my BS after each meal and snack and have come to the conslusion that I will have to eat LCHF diet from now on! (I was hoping the low GI would be ok for me) Weetabix, porridge made with water and toast all spiked me to around 14mmol/l!!! I found that bacon and eggs are OK, but I don't really want to eat bacon every day as it's too processed, and there are health implications with that.
This morning I had soya yogurt plus blueberries. My waking BS was 8.3, took my BS 2 hours later and it was 12.8!! Why would that be, as soya yogurt is much lower in carbs than ordinary yogurt. Could the small amount of milk in my tea and coffee do it? But then I had them yesterday and BS behaved well.
I should say I took 10u Novomix just after breakfast this morning (and I take 8u with evening meal)
