Hey.

I'm a 19 year old female and I've had type 1 diabetes since I was just 3. I would be lying to say that it's been easy- it hasn't. Sometimes it gets really hard, the restrictions, the constant checking blood sugars, the injections and the "what's that you're doing" from friends/colleagues. As I get older, I feel like none of my friends or family REALLY understand what it feels like, even the little things we diabetics deal with. I was hoping that there'd be someone on here of a similar age who would be interested in being a buddy of sorts or something. Someone to listen/share/give rants and advice? It'd be nice to talk to someone who's been through it all and completely understands how it feels! :)

Let me know!
Thanks.

Hi Kerry,

I'm more than happy to lend an ear and rant myself! I'm 23, diabetic for 15 years, since the age of 8. I feel fairly comfortable in saying I've been through and awful lot with my diabetes.
