Morning
So had an upset stomach. Didn’t take meds Sunday night (stomach just felt too bad)
Yesterday ate toast for breakfast as had to go to work, and that was fine. Know bread is bad but it was dry and didn’t want my normal food. Although in hindsight that was probably a sign I shouldn’t work.
Went to work, at end of 2 hours I felt like I was seriously low, tested and was up in the 8s.
In a moment of madness I bought a small Easter egg and went home, cancelled work and ate it. Well stomach really wasn’t happy. After 3 hours I made myself sick just to get rid of what ever was there.
Did feel better after that (along with hot blanket over belly.
Have fasted since then.
Feel much better but sugars not going down to less than 7.6.
Haven’t took meds since Sunday as nurse usually tells me only take once eating again.

Now am I right in thinking the higher sugars (is be expecting to be hitting 4s with no food) are a sognmtbody is fighting something?
Or is it just that I’ve stopped meds so being type 2 they will naturally rise anyway?

I’m taking today off (later today I’ll see if I improve)

Food wise I just don’t want to eat my food.,toast feels much more appealing because it’s dry and I guess I’m worried about feeling I’ll again.

Starting to drink more but to be honest until yesterday afternoon that was really upsetting stomach as well.

Bit of both?
You're obviously ill and sicknes does put your blood sugar up.
As regards the meds, it depends a bit on what you're taking. (As a T1, even if I fasted, my blood sugar would go sky high without insulin, as my body doesn't produce any. :))

Hope you feel better soon.

Please could you update your profile so we can see you are T2 and what meds you have failed to take?
Could be vitally important info... Thanks

@Cana - in your browser, click on your user name at the top right hand side of the screen. That'll open your account, and it should be straightforward enough I hope.
