Oh I might try that - I tried it without the cream and sweetener and couldn't cope..
I would. It made all the difference for me

I am really sorry for your loss of coffee Brunn', I will have another cup of black heart starter for you.And then a few months later i had to give up coffee altogether.
That sounds such a great idea!!I drink what I call golden coffee. I adapted it from a recipe for golden milk, recommended as having anti-inflamatory action for arthritis. I put 15 ml (1 Tbsp) yummy virgin coconut oil and 5 ml (1 tsp) ground turmeric or cut-up fresh turmeric root (yellow haldi from an Indian grocery) in a mug and fill up with coffee with or without coconut cream. Sprinkle a couple grinds of black pepper. I haven't tried it with butter, but this stuff keeps me satisfied for hours, even without it and reduces my desire to snack.
Why the coffee ban? How sad!! I drink decaff but I just love the smell...I got bored with all the ritual paraphernalia (sp?) and having to wash up the wizzy thing.
So i downgraded to coffeemachine lungo and a sploosh of double cream.
Just as nice. And sustaining. And soooo much less phaff.

*more violins, trailing off mournfully...*

It was giving me high blood pressure.Only one cup a day, but it still pushed me up enough to need bp meds.
So I stopped drinking it, and now my bp is spot on.
And now I drink roasted chicory 'coffee' which is nice, but not as nice.![]()

never had chicory... But can't drink caffeinated, stops me sleeping

Any thoughts on the type / brand of butter.... I seem to be Lurpak no salt at the mo.... though not tried it in my coffee.... I'm thinking it will trash my coffee!

@douglas99 - very curious about the tea - where do you buy it?|
Thank you, I'll have a look on Amazon and get the teapot out!I buy it from 'Nothing but Tea', from amazon.

The orange, and the exotic are both good as well.
It can be bought loose or if you're a purist, in cake form.
I found loose was easier, and this company seems to sell a good flavoured tea.
It can be re-brewed a couple of times.
