Bulletproof Coffee

I would. It made all the difference for me

I got bored with all the ritual paraphernalia (sp?) and having to wash up the wizzy thing.
So i downgraded to coffeemachine lungo and a sploosh of double cream.
Just as nice. And sustaining. And soooo much less phaff.

*violins*
And then a few months later i had to give up coffee altogether.
*more violins, trailing off mournfully...*

Well thanks for the info guys even if it did turn into a debate lol. Will google it and see what I come up with. :)

I drink what I call golden coffee. I adapted it from a recipe for golden milk, recommended as having anti-inflamatory action for arthritis. I put 15 ml (1 Tbsp) yummy virgin coconut oil and 5 ml (1 tsp) ground turmeric or cut-up fresh turmeric root (yellow haldi from an Indian grocery) in a mug and fill up with coffee with or without coconut cream. Sprinkle a couple grinds of black pepper. I haven't tried it with butter, but this stuff keeps me satisfied for hours, even without it and reduces my desire to snack.

That sounds such a great idea!!

Why the coffee ban? How sad!! I drink decaff but I just love the smell...

It was giving me high blood pressure. :( Only one cup a day, but it still pushed me up enough to need bp meds.
So I stopped drinking it, and now my bp is spot on. :)
And now I drink roasted chicory 'coffee' which is nice, but not as nice. :)

I was really lucky. All the doc wanted to do was prescribe some tabs. But I got myself a bp cuff and did some home testing. Exercise made no difference. Salt intake made no difference. Rest/sleep/meditation made no difference.
Yet cutting my one cup of decaff coffee gave me normal bp after just 4 days.
The doc thinks I am delusional. yet I don't need the meds any more. haha!

- by the way, I was just the same. I used to only be able to drink even decaff before midday, or I wouldn't sleep.
I guess some of us are just delicate little flowers.

:hilarious:

Try Prewetts organic chicory. Holland and Barratt, Amazon, or elsewhere on the internet. I tried about 4 brands, but prefer this one. It will never be coffee, but it is delightful to be able to drink pretend 'coffee' after an evening meal, and be confident about sleeping. :)

Anyone tried it with pu-erh tea?
It's supposed to be very good for BG in it's own right, and would be far more like the original Yak butter tea that inspired the BPC?
I have to admit, I do drink Pu-erh tea, as I like it, but black.
