Burgen soya and linseed bread is available in all major supermarkets. It is priced at £1.34 a loaf but look for the offers when you can buy 2 for £2.
It has a carb content of 11.8mgs per slice.

My local Morrisons had it on offer for the past few weeks at £1.00 a loaf, i got loads and put them in the freezer
Crofty

what sort of results do you get from this bread? i get better results off the wholemeal nimble bread. if i want 2 slices i still have to load it with cheese or a egg. on its own the bgs went from 4.9 to 7 in a hour to high and to quick for me . the burgen brings you down slower but the nimble brings you down very quick after a 90 mins

This is my bread of choice.. I follow a low carb diet so only eat one slice some breakfast times have it with egg or meats normally find it releases nicely over 2 - 3 hours.. worth a try if you like your bread!

I have found german rye bread to work quite well with the old BG levels. Most bread makes my BG levels go quite high (even wholewheat pitta) but not so much with rye bread - there are a lot of different types available too (pumperknickel, multi-grain, plain rye) and they are quite nice toasted with cheese.

I'll have to look out for the Burgen Bread and give it a try.

Sometimes the supermarkets will sell it on special offer but Iceland always sells it for 2 @ £2.
