burning, itching feet

I saw a podiatrist just a month ago with this same problem and her diagnosis......she reckoned it was happening when I had a sugar rise :shifty:my gp's expression was the same. To be on the safe side he ordered an Hba1c test to verify, I am awaiting the results:shifty: I'm not holding my breath though

Hi there

For information I have been taking alpha Lipoic acid and Vitamin B12 for just over a week now.
I test my levels usually first thing in the morning and before my evening meal, and since taking the supplements these readings have averaged 5.7, with a single high of 8.1 and a low of 5.0. I have seen no other reading above 7.8.

I mention this because I read that neuropathy problems occur above 7.8.

Now, this is fairly subjective but I do believe my feet are improving and I do have more feeling in my fingers. Also, I have suffered for years with a very painful right knee and this also seems to be less painful than it was a week ago.

Suffice it to say I am going to carry on with this regime and report back.

Cheers

Tim
