byetta is it easy to use

hi am aged 49 type 2, level;s used to be about 50 special blood test every few months, went up to 65 , last test it was 69. been very depressed lately not been eating the best, trying to eat well lasts a few days then I eat wrong foods, spoke to my local chemist they said how about suggesting to my gp to try byetta injections to help my levels, as other problem I have is all pills have to be crushed , use a pastol and mortar to crush my metformin pills 3 times aday , any one on the byette injections as well as metformin. is it easy to use and will it help with weight loss .thanks
