Byetta

Hi All
My Name is Beverly i am a type 2 diabetic have been for the past 8years treated with tablets Metformin and gliclizide but recently started Byetta 5mg for the first month went great a little nausia and headache but nothing i could not cope with then on the 27th april dosage uped to 10mg wow diorreaha and yesterday i threw up seem ok after morning jab but its that one at 6pm that seems to be efecting me i,ve been so unwell this week that i have found it difficult to eat and therefor my sugar at one point dropped to 3.5 very low for me as i never go below 10 but i have been getting lower with the byetta any advice would be welcome Beverly xxx

Hi Beverly and welcome to the forum, Ive not used Byetta myself but there are many members here who do and I'm sure one of them will be along shortly to offer some advice and support

In the meantime it may be useful for you to read the Information For The Newly Diagnosed even though you are not new to diabetes, you may find information there that you had been unaware of.
