Type 1 C-peptide

That would be difficult for people with type 1 on insulin as they should take their meals regularly

No doubt. I'm sure there are people on here with T1 that can better advise you. Is this something your doctor is wanting? If so, they should be able to advise you.

Its not difficult if you either have a morning appointment and delay taking basal dose OR miss your bolus if you are having to missing a meal. Why are you having a C peptide test btw?

I have and I'm T1. Scheduled for 9:30-11:30 am and I had to fast from 10pm previous night. I take my basal in the morning normally and had to delay it until after the test. I was a bit concerned as my levels plummet with exercise and I needed to walk to the hospital, but I was around 5 when they started the test and 16 at the end.

I've been suffering from severe hypoglycemia lately that lead to loss of consciousness without any obvious reasons.

What was your result?

I don't know! I'm on a trial at Guy's hospital and back for a follow up in a fortnight so will find out then.

Hi. That might be true if you are on twice-a-day mixed insulin but NICE now recommends that all T1s should be on MDI which enables you to adjust your insulin(s) to cope. Basal/Bolus (MDI) means you don't need regular meals
