Hello everyone!
Anyone did the C-peptide test? What should I do before it?

That would be difficult for people with type 1 on insulin as they should take their meals regularlyAll I was asked to do was fast at least 8hrs, ended up being 13hrs before it was done.

Its not difficult if you either have a morning appointment and delay taking basal dose OR miss your bolus if you are having to missing a meal. Why are you having a C peptide test btw? That would be difficult for people with type 1 on insulin as they should take their meals regularly
I've been suffering from severe hypoglycemia lately that lead to loss of consciousness without any obvious reasons. Its not difficult if you either have a morning appointment and delay taking basal dose OR miss your bolus if you are having to missing a meal. Why are you having a C peptide test btw?
What was your result?I have and I'm T1. Scheduled for 9:30-11:30 am and I had to fast from 10pm previous night. I take my basal in the morning normally and had to delay it until after the test. I was a bit concerned as my levels plummet with exercise and I needed to walk to the hospital, but I was around 5 when they started the test and 16 at the end.
Hi. That might be true if you are on twice-a-day mixed insulin but NICE now recommends that all T1s should be on MDI which enables you to adjust your insulin(s) to cope. Basal/Bolus (MDI) means you don't need regular mealsThat would be difficult for people with type 1 on insulin as they should take their meals regularly
