Can an electric shock cause or accelerate diabetes
In 2008 I was struck with an electric shoc
k Immediately after a week of the incident I noticed that I went to the toilet a lot I analyzed sugar The result was bad 310mg/dl I had never felt anything before
After that, my life turned upside down
Lost a lot of weight from 83 to 58kg I feel the pain of the feet sometimes
And even other problems

I have never heard of it before and I doubt there is any research on it since it could only be epidemiological research and not too many people get electric shocks.

Maybe you just got plain old diabetes by one of the usual methods.

I had No health Problems before i was rarely drink water rarely going toilet

You need to see a doctor to get some answers, particularly to the issue of what type of diabetes you have and what treatment you should be receiving for it.

As to your question about an electric shock causing diabetes, I am afraid that I don't know the answer.

If it turns out you are type 2 and if your level of 300mg/dl is a fasting one, then it is unlikely that you had only been diabetic for a week, as it would take longer for your levels to get this high.

I believe a shock of any kind effects a Human body, not just causing diabetese. Like Pavlosn said, I also do not know the answer to this. I would say sugar levels increase within 4 hours for type 1 diabetic when eating carb foods.

I think, unless you've some reasonable existing insulin production that is extremely unlikely. If you eat a slice of bread, yo'll see the rise way before four hours with no insulin bolus.

No-one is saying you are wrong. You are the only person I have ever heard of who had an electric shock which may/may not have been the cause of your diabetes. There is no research known to me on this subject.

Thanks for your feedback Gentlemen
The problem was very scary moments
