Can Anyone Help Me Stop Scratching?

Thanks Kat, but I've been to the doc's twice now and seen two different ones. I think, if I had to have a stab at why the creams they prescribed aren't working, is..... The rash looks like excema ? and they have given me cream for that. However, as it isn't excema? and has been caused by an Angiogram dye, I don't think they know what to prescribe for it. I have no faith in GP's, sorry.

Hi gosh , you are having a hard time , and you don't know what to do......it does found awful....
Really hope you find something that works to make you feel better....:) tc Kat x

Well, quite honestly, I am a bit of a tough cookie, so I'm not really having a hard time, it's more irritating than dismaying. There are folks on here a lot worse off than me, so I should really just get on with it now. Thanks Kat x

Just a quick word about lavender essential oil:

It is commonly thought to be one of the few essential oils you can use neat. And it usually is.

BUT it should never be used on broken skin (which could easily happen with both eczema (sp?) and insect bites. Apparently it can trigger just the sort of reaction you are both trying to get rid of!

(Read that on the Tisserand website years ago, and for some reason it stuck in my memory)

Oh heck. I've just read the label and it says not to use neat. Honestly, you'd think I'd know better at my age. Thank you very much for that Brunneria, it won't take it off my arms, but it's stopped me putting it on my legs! xx

Kats not to blame though, I put it on neat and should have known better. I don't think, however, that it has had a negative effect on me, so I am thick skinned, as suspected!

Someone I know ended up needing emergency assistance after using lavender oil neat ....it was awful...

So sorry Kat, it was Carty that suggested it, not you, velly solly. xxxxxx

It's Carty then that I'm not blaming, it's my bludy fault!

Don't think I would suggest using lavender oil ........some people mix it with a base oil or almond oil , but never put on neat...as far as I know

Now.....if you have a tea lite burner.....very relaxing :) x

Keep us posted ....you are a mystery :/ x

( if you have a shower you can get a lot of the oil of your skin , you don't want another reaction )

Well these days, I don't need a catalyst to make me confused, it seems to come natural. Maybe I am loosing it after all!:depressed: xx

Sorry to have caused problems for anyone I have never had any problems with lavender oil used neat and I did read that it could be used neat .I am usually very careful what I use and try to only use natural products I realise I should have said to test a little first before slapping it on
CAROL:sorry:
