From personal experience, I would say - most definitely, yes. Virus, illness of any kind and especially infections, push my bloods up

well maybe not the excact bacteria or fungus, but when being ill our liver takes over and produces more glucose, in earlier days maybe we wouldn´t get much to eat when being ill, so our body has learned to take over at illness .... nowadays we have an overload of foods allways available ... but the bodynature usually takes many generations to change its inherited patterns..

it could be interesting to know what triggers this extra liver boost, if it is the raised body temperature or it is the raised number of White blood cells in action or whatever it could be

Certainly can - and it can be a bit of a vicious circle with fungal infections as the high blood sugars can feed the infection - grrr

Thanks for the insight guys
But makes sense @lovinglife I'm been on antibiotics for a month my sugar was high but no way as high as it is now I don't take medication as much just try to eat healthy and go gym but my doctor doesn't no what going on and said I must talk meds 2 x 500 mets aday but levels is 16 to 23 before antibiotics i was 7 10 tops .

Has anyone got any ideas on how to find out what causes my highs morning test was 14.6. I can drink water and my levers are high. Is there anyway of finding out if I got a infection in my body had blood test for viruses came back clear.
Thanks for your help

Hey @leong! I'm so sorry to hear what's happening to you :( may I ask if you're on any other medication? And was it a serious infection?
