I have been T2 since October 09 and have now got good control of sugar levels going from levels of 29 to 5 at last hb1ac test.
I am on one met per day and sit between 4.5 and 6.5 for the last six months. The doctor told me I would not take hypos as this is the only medication I am on is this true ?
Having found how to handle this condition by the sound advice given on this site I would value your opinions.

Whilst it would be possible for you to have a hypo in reality it is unlikely to happen and if your blood glucose levels drop too low your liver should sort out the problem by releasing more glucose into your blood.

I shouldnt worry if I were you. Great A1c by the way
