I had to be examined by the Force Medical Examiner and discussed my flexpen regime with him etc. He loved the regime and its independence and signed me fit for service.  Over the next 30 years i did everything i wanted to in the police and thrived.  Eventually retired as a Superintendent.  And now enjoying retirement.  The police is an excellent career choice for diabetics. But you will need to stay on top of your game in terms of managing it.</blockquote>
