Hi all

I recieved my insulin pump friday medtronic veo which I am slowly getting used to. BUT I was told by the medtronic team friday to phone and order some more Reseviours and Cannola inserts which i did friday afternoon, i was told they would be delivered today (wednesday) I havent recieved them i rang the order line at medtronics and told them i have sat in all day waiting for this delivery, she rang TNT who were supposed to deliver them and they told her that they could'nt find the order. I am so annoyed I only have 2 cannola inserts left because the medtronic team took half of them out of my box on friday to give to someone else who had'nt recieved there pump. I have been told by medtronics they will ring me in the morning and let me know whats happening but in the meantime what do i do i will need more cannola inserts by tuesday otherwise i will have to go back to my pen injections.

Have to admit im to to happy with medtonics at the moment i havent even had the pump a week yet

hopefully it's a one off?! I haven't had any probs yet with Accu Chek and I am now on a 'standing order' type system where they will just delivery my cannula's etc when they think I need them, based on my usage. Do Medtronic have a system like that? Could be worth asking.......

hi Debloube

No with medtronics you have to ring everytime you you want more and they are delivered by TNT usually 3 working days later the thing is they don't give you a time so you have to sit in all day between 8am and 6pm, which was what i got annoyed about i sat in all day on the wednesday and they did'nt turn up till the friday the day i told them i would be out all day, luckly a neighbour took them in for me.
To be honest with you i would have prefered the accu-chek pump that was the one i was shown im not to impressed with the medtronics veo, the women said from medtronics that this was the rolls royce of insulin pumps but i don't agree the accu-chek one i was shown looked and seemed alot better. Maybe its just me cos im still getting used to it and trying to get things right. But no one has bothered finding out how i am getting on all i had was 3 hours to discuss and have it attached to me which i feel is not very good it feels as if i have been left to get on with it.

Is it just me?

Hi all

Just a quick question has anyone on a pump felt like returning back to the insulin pen injections?

I've had my pump medtronics veo for 3-4 weeks now and to be honest i'm not having much luck, for the 2nd time this week my readings have gone through the roof 30 plus they have never gone this high when i was on the pen injections, i have checked for kinks in the cannular and air bubbles but everything is ok. On the pump when its tells you to fill the cannular after changing it i have to do it about 3-4 times. Medtronics only gave me a 3hr session to tell me about it and since then i have just been left to get on with it.

Medtronics don't seem to be much assistance when i have sat in all day waiting for a delivery by TNT they just tell me oh TNT lost the order.
Then to top it off i tell medtronics i will not be in on the friday TNT want to deliver and i have no one i want it left with, so they say ' We told them you will be out on friday but they are gonna deliver it anyway' and not only did they deliver it while i was out they done the complete opposite to what i asked and left it with a neighbour up the road.

Tracey,

Have you spoken to your diabetes care team? I'm sure they could help out if Medtronic continue being problematic. Remember, there will be people who have already experienced the same problems as you. And they will have needed help too.

Sam.
