I have just seen my site bring out a rash which is from an insulin pump for my life. Can anyone help?

Yep I can get blodgy skin sometimes. I get itchy skin from sets on my stomach...
I just dab on tea tree oil or coconut oil and leave. It soon goes.

Not so bad as yours but I have had a lot worse with plastic cannula sites...
This was after 2 hours in my front non existant love handles. Back non existant love handles are fine....

I don't remove glue marks until I know sets are fine... It jyst ensures I never go to near the last site..

Snap ! It's a good reminder to leave glue marks so as not to go near the last couple of cannula sights, although wife and kids just don't think I've washed properly!

I just humour them

Plus it's so hard getting the critters off!

Try either cavilon spray or skin tac as both are barrier products.. Cavilon can be provided on prescription, not skin tac though

Op thank you noblehead and car stock. I currently use cavil on spray but have super sensitive skin it can be a nightmare lol

In the past I've even resorted to
Nail polish remover and Acetate both not really recommended but work well.

The cavilon and skin tac are barriers against the sticky causing a skin rash not a remover. I think wires are crossed somewhere :) A little oil removes the stick left behind though as doe alcohol wipes if you don't mind sore skin.

Zoff wipes are also great at removing sticky adhesive too, used to have it in a bottle when I was younger and it removed plaster adhesive brilliantly, I assume it would work just as well with cannula adhesive. :-)

I never get glue marks. Is this because I have to change sets every 2 days or am I just lucky? I don't remember glue marks in the weeks I was changing sets every 3 days.

Olive oil or bath water works fine with a gentle scrub... I love the olive oil for soaking in to my skin and repairing it.

You must be lucky just not to get glue marks.. Or having luxury cashmere next to it instead of jeans n tshirts!!!!

I've never had glue marks either from cannulas :) Sticking plaster is another matter though.

Thanks guys my pump does have cannulas to it. Mine is literally like a small pebble stuck to me and a small tube runs in me but is no where near the sticking part. Hope that makes sense if not check out my pump is omipod my life
