Unfortunately I can't always tell when I'm going Hypo or Hyper - I can hit 2.5 and not even be the wiser of it (i'll think i'm in the early 4s, yet hit 2.1 and I'm unsteady on my feet but still functional (went that low early in the month during a root camel [passed out in the chair and the dentist was unaware of the fact I passed out, cause it wasn't for long but still from being responsive to unresponsive not good] when she was dun she was like, no food, drink etc and I pop two glucose tabs, she's sticked "I said nothing to eat" I show her the gluco tabs and she still says "you can't have anything to eat" I reach for my purse test see 2.1 and pop another gluco tab she leaves in frustration my dad comes in i show him my meter and he hands me a can of pop which the assistant tries to say something and my dad is like "don't you even dare you could have killed her" needless to say I'll not be back to that dentist again). Other wise I can hit 15 to 20 and i might know I'm high or I might not dependings on whats going on.
