Seeing as the OP's link to his / her profile is unclickable, I would say that he / she has either been banned for trolling.
I hope the @admin have banned the ip address being used at present, which will stop him / her posting under a new account name.

do not faint but, for once, I agree with you!!!!!A poor, and actually offensive assumption perhaps?

Is this the trick to induce massive BS spikes and high BS levels? 'Cos that's exactly what it will do...this is why we EAT TO THE MONITOR.....the whole point of low-carbing is to avoid spikes and high levels. Guess you don't like your toes and eyesight as much as most other people....i have some sympathy with this - it depends on your environment. i have successfully low carbed through Nov & Dec but recently visited Venice on holiday. it was very hard indeed to avoid carbs as much as I would like to. i made it back without putting on weight but I did have a pizza, one pasta and a couple of sandwiches in a week. Plus a couple of pieces of cake! One trick you could try is to eat hflc until youre stuffed. Do it for a few days, even a week to see it you can drive away any hunger for carb. With any luck you can retrain your tastebuds. When I ate the cake it seemed amazingly sweet. But I wonder if I kept going would the sweetness taste normal? i think there is definitely an adaptation of taste period going either way
hflc - in other words - LCHF but written in an unfamiliar way. What is wrong with that? or did you read it wrongly? Is this the trick to induce massive BS spikes and high BS levels? My bad..... sincere apologies to johnme. ...I thought the advice was to eat loads of carbs but on re-reading it of course you're right. If my error has annoyed/upset anyone else, then I apologise to them also.hflc - in other words - LCHF but written in an unfamiliar way. What is wrong with that? or did you read it wrongly?
Who?I don't know how to do this 'quote' thing BUT
About a week ago I wrote 'Are you taking this seriously or just having a good laugh at us all?'
I'm annoyed with myself for taking this person seriously!
Hi Interested.. what Low Carb foods cause you to spike? My bad..... sincere apologies to johnme. ...I thought the advice was to eat loads of carbs but on re-reading it of course you're right.
And "FYI", britishpub, 1. Some "LC" foods spike people more than others. If you don't test, then you won't know what is best for you. So like so many other things, no, not as simple as it first appears. 2. They aren't "my" rules - just statements of the well-established consequences of neglecting our condition. If you don't want to play, fine.
Hi BB, pretty well anything branded as "LC" - protein bars and the like which are promoted as being LC, burgen bread, and peanuts......Hi Interested.. what Low Carb foods cause you to spike?

And "FYI", britishpub:
1. For a diabetic, the point of LC is ultimately to reduce BG levels and BG spikes, whether through weight loss or the other metabolic effects that an LC diet has. Otherwise, why are you doing it? Hi ExD, to quote you just tap the "reply" button at the bottom of what you want to quote, then edit as normal. When editing quotes, just be careful not to alter anything inside the [ ] brackets...I don't know how to do this 'quote' thing BUT

This is actually a very valid point. The anxiety that a high post prandial reading can cause some much anxiety. So you do consider that telling a fellow poster that if they don't follow "the rules" they must not "like your toes and eyesight as much as most other people...." is helpful and supportive.
Well certainly not to keep pricking myself for no apparent reason. I have never told anyone what they should or shouldn't be doing to try and control their own personal disease, and I would never insist that anyone follows my path, even though they may get better results if they did. Everyone needs to follow their own path, and if constantly worrying about the effect on your BG for an hour or so over everything you eat is a method that works for some then good luck and best of health to them.
Only please don't try to insist that there is only one way to do it.
