I am T2 diabetic and have been successful in controlling my bs on a lchf diet and am very strict with it I also exercise regularly. My problem is that in over a year I have not lost any weight. I am on heart medication for blood pressure and statins which I have taken for over 20 yrs. Are these the cause of my inability to lose weight?
What are you eating? What kind of diet? A calorie isn't just a calorie. The macro nutrients as well as the type of food makes a difference.Hi,
1st post so be gentle with me
Diagnosed type 2 last August and despite 4 x weekly aqua aerobics sessions, regular skiing both indoor and out and a non-sedentary job I am gaining weight not loosing it! I will take Neohdiver's advice and start a food diary. I was thinking about Slimming World, has anybody had any success with this diet?
I'd stick with the low carb but cut down the fat.
Just remember muscle weighs heavier than fat. Maybe your building muscle whilst small amounts of skiing. Long duration exercise burns fat but short can build muscle.Hi,

Beg to differ, muscle doesn't weigh more than fat. A pound is a pound, its like what weighs more a pound of feathers or a pound of whatever - take your pick. Fat looks heavier than muscle is all.
