Can't see if there sugar in this...

I didn't do the same as Jack. I cut my carbs more slowly. In February I was on 126g a day. March about 120g. April 96g. and am now on 75g. I may well have to drop again quite soon. I'm not a big vegetable fan so was unwilling to give up potatoes and bread altogether BUT have massively reduced the portions I eat. Everyone is different, but you need to learn about carb content, especially those hidden ones in some veggies and fruit.

I don't use the myfitnesspal app. I use the website from my PC. It is excellent for steering you in the right direction. The book I mentioned is Carbs & Cals, which you will find for sale on Amazon. Get the proper book rather than the pocket version. It isn't expensive and is excellent.

I found the jug scales on Amazon, too.

cold turkey, like giving up cigarettes cold turkey, just stop. This is how I thought about carbs

Stopping smoking was the easiest thing I've ever done, cutting carbs was marginally less easy, it's all about the right state of mind

Morning Bluetit,I will download it on pc today,I looked on line for the scales, was it the morphy Richards one you bough.
