I suggest you're not sleeping due to the heat not lack of carbs. I have never come across a low carber who couldn't sleep, but there again, I have not met them all. I am finding it very warm at night.
I'm the opposite, since stopping most of my carbs I'm sleeping like a log, I hardly slept at all before i found out i was diabetic, small change and a massive improvement in my sleeping pattern and in general..
I am finding that a new sleeping routine is developing - I used to 'have' to sleep during the day ( maybe an hour am and a couple of hours in the afternoon) then I'd be up till 2am, 4am
Since low carbing I don't sleep during the day at all and come 12ish I'm feeling sleepy enough to go to bed, maybe you are in the midst of developing a new routine ?
Has this not sleeping only started when you started low carb way of eating? I also fine I am getting nightmares I think it might be because I go to bed hungry and BS goes to low.
