Carb Free Snack Ideas

Hi @Rrar - how about Babybel cheeses, handful of almonds or macadamias, fat bombs, pork scratchings, square of 85% choc...... Hope that helps. I'm sure others will be along with more ideas. :-)

Trythis for a filling snack, 2 eggs,in a bowl 1 tbspn almond flour,1 tbspn coconut flour,1/4 pint of milk, whisk together, and fry in olive oil or butter for 4 mins on medium heat, then grill the top for 3/ 4 mins ( you can put your own spices or cheese if liked) only a few carbs in the almond flour....enjoy.

Hi, olives, gherkins and celery. Also take a look at natural low carb store website, they have some nut bars.

All the best.

Hi Clive, do they still taste like egg at the end? Ive never liked eggs & the thought of eating them turns me haha! :/

Fat bombs are good - if you google them there are many combinations. This is one example (I bought liquid stevia from Amazon). ImageUploadedByDCUK Forum1426783341.858010.jpg

@Rrar , if you don't like eggs, a useful alternative in baking is Ogran egg replacer. It's a powder that you mix with water ( no egg content!) then use it just like an egg in a recipe. There's a few others available, but I can't remember the names  Ogran is available on Holland & Barretts, and in some large supermarkets. If you buy online, it's cheaper via Amazon.

I use it in low carb bread replacements and just about anything baked, as I don't like the eggy taste . It's suitable for vegetarians, vegan, coeliac and (!) egg allergies, and has zero carbs :)

Sugar free jelly with blueberries and cream :)

I admit it, I am a jelly addict ! :D @Spiker posted a recipe for chocolate orange jelly a while back which is lush - just mix one teaspoon of cocoa ( the real stuff, not drinking chocolate ) with sugar free orange jelly . serve with whipped cream :D

And I'll tag @Brunneria for her World Famous ( and irresistible ) Hot Chocolate Recipe ;) ( thanks Brun ! )

Pork scratchings zero carbs.
The more I pay for them the more jaw breaking and teeth shattering they are.
The cheaper the better it seems.
My wife has discovered some in a cheapy store called Home Bargains that are almost melt in the mouth.

Lol

It ain't quite carb free (cos there's carbs in cocoa powder) but here goes:

It's simple, infinitely tweakable, and sometimes, it just hits the spot.

Low Carb Hot Choc
Boil kettle.
Add a heaped teasp of good quality cocoa powder to a big mug
Add 1.5 ish heaped teasp of sugar substitute to mug
Make the powders into a paste with a dribble of water (get rid of the lumps)
Add boiling water and stir until smooth
Top up with double cream.
Add caramel, lemon, orange or mint essences, if desired
Enjoy

All quantities adjustable
