Carb hangover

Oh and disappointingly two hours later am hungry (was stuffed once eaten)

Off to have some peanut butter to get rid of hunger before bed!!

The burger isn’t the problem and neither is the chicken it’s the chips! And they are what have started the cravings off again. Ditch the chips for salad or veg and you’ll be doing much better

Of course it depends what the chickens smothered in - in my experience it's probably full of sugar especially if the sauce used isn't made from scratch

Agree the sauce may also be a problem depending what it was, creamy ones don’t tend to be too bad. Celebrating swapping beef for chicken isn’t quite the achievement diabetes wise it felt when the chips was kept was my point

@Cana baby steps, baby steps! You’ll get there. (Not that I am one to boast...) I am having one of those “gotta eat eat eat” moments right now. I’ve just gotten home from a high-energy exercise class, and being new to this style of class overdid it in a big way, even though I modified and just plain stopped plenty. I am craving more and more cheese, and I *know* that the protein raises bg’s for a few days. I’ve managed to stop after only 3 servings of only 2 kinds of cheese. But the frig is still calling loudly.
I am truly fortunate in that the sugar cravings have converted to dairy (a whole nother brain addiction which is equally bad as addictions go) and nuts. When I have a physically demanding thing in the evening... that’s what I have yet to master.
Ok, crab hangover really makes me giggle... (best I could do)

And sadly for me Diet Coke still raises my levels. Have you tested after this meal?

About 2.5 hours after I was 9.8. Not hugely bad but not ideal.
