Carb to insulin ratio

I wouldn't worry, I have a ratio of 2:10, and take 44 of lantus, and 500mg of metformin twice daily. Good control and a Hba1c of 42, so everyone is different I dont think theres a normal!
 
Mine is 1 unit to 10 breakfast , 1 unit to 15 dinner , 1 to 10 tea and 1 to 15 supper
 
Hi I've been a diabetic for nearly ten years now after a recent hospital admission they have changed my insulin and changed my dosages and times they have also mentioned about a DAPHNE course which they say will help me I have wanted the pump therapy but need to have a few months to try this then they will reassess does anybody know much about these or how the carb count diet works?

DAFNE is a carb counting course, basically it shows you how to adjust your insulin to the carbs in your food as well as many other things, there's an on-line version similar to DAFNE that you might want to take a look at:
