Yup. Even stress and the commute to work will play a part in BG fluctuations.

Every diabetic has a nemesis when it comes to food. Mine is pizza. Even after 4 hours, my BG levels continue to climb and by the morning, I will be near the 20's - or at least I was before (after a lot of testing and trial and error) I rocketed both my basal and bolus. I can now finish at around 10mmol/l and that's probably the best I will get without forcing a hypo.

I agree with a number of posts here. The basal is the first thing to calibrate. The bolus can then follow. You may also find that your sensitivity to insulin in the morning may be different to that in the evening.
