KK123 - Things may be different for you, but as T2s, many see their way of eating (ideally alongside blood sugar testing) as their treatment, so it is, in my view, fair that the medics enquire how the treatment is going. Very, very few T2s are seen in specialist clinics.
So I have an appointment coming up and I will be quizzed about my diet (low carb and working very well). What do you say when you are lectured about eating carbs and how important they are. I’m fed up smiling sweetly and agreeing. I keep getting told I need carbs yet doing just fine on 20g a day. Thanks x
My first post, been T1 for 40 years, 2 slow 3 fast acting , carb where the most important thing in a diabetics life, 50 breakfast 10 tea break 60 lunch 10 tea break 60 evening 10 bed time.
Carb are a No No, a low carb diet will make your life much easier, blood level will drop over time, insulin levels too.
I’ve been f@@@ about for years but it works, give it 3 to 6 months
