I haven't posted on here for a while so hiya to all the new folk. Hope you are all doing well.

I've recently dragged myself into the 21st century and got myself a new smart phone, meaning I'm now in the world of apps lol. I've been trying to low carb since being diagnosed diabetic. BG control is quite good most of the time but I'm struggling to lose more weight. I discovered the my fitness pal app and thought using it would spur me on a bit and help to control what I'm eating. It has certainly opened my eyes! While my total carbs are around 60g per day my total calories are well over 1200 recommended. Is that why I'm not losing weight? Should i count cals and carbs or just carbs? Also, does anyone know of a similar app that concentrates on carbs as opposed to cals?

Any help or opinions would be much appreciated.

Thanks

Just in case you havent already found it.. I think the ideal app for you is almost the same as your topic title :D
.... http://www.carbsandcals.com/apps

As well as its useful visual carb guide for foods you can also set it up so you can keep ane eye on the total carbs, cals and fats for each food item in each meal, as well as the totals for each day so it will flag up when you are going over your daily targets.
Its not free but its not too pricey either.
