Went for blood yesterday and got a message today saying my cardiovascular risk score is 24.14%
what on Earth are they talking about. Apparently I’m at a greater risk of strokes, heart attacks etc. however no word in my actual results HDL or LDL. I feel I’ve got half the story !!!!!

Sounds like a Q risk score to me. Not all U.K. practices use the most up to date version. If I use this one: https://qrisk.org/ which I believe is the most up to date my score is significantly more if I select type 2 diabetes than if I put no diabetes, which I don’t think is a true reflection for me as I have had non diabetic HbA1cs for nearly six years.
If I was in your position I would ask for access to my results on line then check your Q risk score yourself.
Also I think you need to have a discussion about what they want you to do with this information, with your agreement of course!
