CareLink and Windows 7

Bit of a technical question I'm afraid. I'm on the Medtronic Paradigm Veo and my DSN recently gave me a CareLink to be able to download all my pump info onto the computer. I also use a Contour Link meter so that means all my BG levels would be downloaded automatically as well.

The problem I'm having is that for some reason the CareLink won't install on my computer, and the booklet said that Windows 7 wasn't supported. Does anyone know if there have been upgrades since then that do support it and how I could get one?

Thanks!

Don't use it myself, but have you tried Medtronic's website or the Carelink website if different? There may be a link to updated install software there.

On a related note, my DSN is about to order me a Veo as an upgrade from my current pump. How are you finding it? Do you use the CGM? If so, is it useful?

Thanks, I will try that :)

I'm loving the Veo, it's a really handy pump. I use it with the Contour Link meter so it automatically sends through all my BG levels which makes it even more efficient (don't know if you already do that on your current pump but I recommend it! You can order one for free on the Bayer website if you use a Veo pump).

I do sometimes borrow the CGM from the hospital, but I don't have it permanently sadly because it's too expensive to fund :( I find it very difficult to give it back when I've had it for a week because it's absolutely brilliant. Gives you a 24 hour continuous graph of your BG so you can easily spot where it's going wrong, it starts beeping at you when you go over or under a certain level as well, and you get upward or downwards arrows to show that you are rising or dropping. If you can get a CGM with it you should definitely do it (and I would be soooo jealous!)

PS: Did I mention that the Veo comes in pink? :D

I wont tell you it took me 3 hours of frustration figuring it out  it was only when my hubby asked if I had tried it on IE (used IE on his pc prior to trying to use it on mine)

Lol well if you hadn't mentioned it I definitely wouldn't have figured it out so thanks for saving me hours of my life! I swear things should be more straightforward than that :D
