Years ago I asked my doctor why my skin tended to have a slight yellow tinge. He said it was a build up of carotene which is in carrots but which seems to show up in diabetics. The yellowing of the skin he called carotenoderma.
I am not sure how this condition might appear on people with darker skin but I know that when I am choosing colours to wear in clothing etc I am often advised to go for the green colours and combinations. I do not have red hair to that is not the reason but perhaps the green does not highlight the yellow skin colouring as much as other colours?
What are other peoples' experiences??
