Carrots

How can that be? It doesn't seem logical to me.

According to carbs & cals, boiled carrots are about 5g per 100g.
I honestly don't know why Bluetit. Somebody informed me of this and I checked it out and they are right. If you compare fresh carrots to tinned you will see that they are lower in carbs. Just realised they must be higher raw than cooked. Tinned carrots are cooked

Raw are lower. I wonder if the water that soaks into tinned making them weigh more might be possible. Cooking realeases the sugR but if you don’t drink the water they might be lower. Just guessing...
 
Well it seems tinned carrots are about the same as boiled raw ones at approximately 5g per 100g, and raw carrots are higher at 7 to 8g per 100g. (I also checked that out on the Tesco website with 2 different sorts of raw carrots)

Cooking must have some reducing effect.
