causes of thrush

Martin, if you look at the bottom of this page, there are a series of posts related to thrush which might help you.

The normal advice for controlling thrush is usually related to bringing blood glucose down to normal levels.

I'm not a type 1, so I can't really advise you further.

Also, if you type the word "thrush" into the search box at the top of the screen, it should bring up other posts about the subject.

Best wishes,

Hi Martin

Different to you as I am a type 2.

I have pretty continuous thrush before I was diagnosed. Once I started cutting down on carbs (I have about 150g a day), it went away and has not returned.

Hi. Same for me as Caterham. Once you get your blood sugar below the point at which the kidneys dump sugar (somewhere below a meter reading of around 11mmol) then the thrush should just disappear.
