Hi all,

Read about this in today's Daily Mail (Oct 7 page 45). It basically allows for
transplantation without the need for anti-rejection drugs. The technique has
been trialed on kidney patients but applies to all organ transplants, including
pancreatic (and possibly beta-cell only transplants?).

With pancreas transplant likely to become available do you really think we would get one.
Think of all the type1 diabetics, who would they choose (not me I smoke)
I was blinded in 1978 in my right eye in 1984 they could replace the corona with a doner eye its 2008 and i have never ever been offered an operation.

As long as Im puting insulin in myself thats what I'll be left with because the way I see it you cant even get a pump without a fight so whats the chance of getting a theartre fully staffed with consultant and nurses.
