Ceoliac diet

im here again, would or is a coeliac diet good for diabetics cos there would be no wheat in that would there ?

If you had the prescription items then no not good as plenty of pasta and bread on offer. If you cook from scratch there is no problem.
Be very aware though that the free from range of foods(supermarkets) tend to be very high fat and sugar.
 
I had the same thought but if you look at the carb content on some gluten free foods it is still quite high
 
@CarbsRok's caveat regarding the celiac specific foods also applies to those "designed" for diabetics - they're not always very good for us. :eek: Probably much cheaper (and certainly healthier!) to look at eating a low(er) carb diet, and buy "normal" foodstuff, just avoiding high starch foods as well as sugary ones. Read all the nutritional labels and go for the very lowest carb values you can find.

It's very high esp in comparison to non gf foods.
