Flapjacks (at least small pieces of them) are the one indulgence that I have clung onto after giving up all other sweet things. I tried to convince myself early on that as they had lots of oats they would be low GI. Anyway, I find that if I take a couple of pieces directly after a meal they don't spike me, and they can be smuggled into restaurants to have with a cappuccino. Does whitbyjet have a diabetic-friendly flacpjack recipe?
