I got some apples in to eat for a snack and whenever i eat one of these apples my blood sugars seem to sky rocket, Does anyone know if there any types of apples i should avoid

No idea, the size of the apple will determine the bg spike, do you bolus for the fruit?

Probably best to avoid apples if they spike your bg badly.

Different apples have different carb values so check which spike and which don't :)

As a rough guide anything that says "Sweet" on the pack tends to send me up more (Jaz for example), I tend to stick to Braeburn, cox or golden delicious. I always have them at a time I'm having insulin though so you may find it a bit trickier...

Hi,
I live in Norfolk near Sandringham, and I buy apples from the Estate shop, they are grown especially
for Diabetics as they contain less sugar. When I am next over there I will note the name, as usual I have
forgotten ! No help I know, but I will find out !
