Because you need to scan the sensor to start it. I'm assuming you got up at 4:40 this morning.Put on a new CGM last night but didn’t scan the applicator until I got up. Question is why have I only got readings from 04:40 this morning and not last night when I put the the CGM on at 19:28??
No you should still get readings on insertion. You just don’t see the readings until you scan the QR code on the applicator. Well that’s normally what happens. Nah 04:40 is too early for me!Because you need to scan the sensor to start it. I'm assuming you got up at 4:40 this morning.
Well normally I put the sensor on the night before. Scan it in the morning and get all readings from when I inserted it (no warm up period) and during the night when I’m asleep. On this occasion I got up scanned and only got readings from 04:40 onwards! As @Antje77 states @Neckarski_94 the scan activates the sensor. If the sensor is not activated then it doesn't 'switch on'. It's as if it is still in the box.
