Bonjour
Have just found this very useful and interesting forum while searching the internet for some information for my husband who's been T2 for 15 years or so.
We live in France, and earlier this week our GP decided to take my husband off Competact, which he took twice a day (15mg pioglitazone/850mg metformin) as he said it was more or less the same as the withdrawn Avandamet he used to take. He put him on 1000mg of metformin 3 times a day, which seems to me to be a lot larger dose than he's been taking up to now. What do other experienced users think? He feels light headed, but then he always reacts when his medication is changed, but I can't help feeling a trip back to the GP might be in order.
Thanks.
