So today I received my repeat prescription using Pharmacy2U. Now this is a great service but the wrong sized needles were delivered. After speaking to them they informed me that they get the prescription from my GP and the GP had sent through the wrong needles. I called my GP and spoke to a receptionist and somehow my prescription had changed to these new wrong sized needles without telling me or me asking them to. I've had it rectified now but has anyone else experienced this? Not happy that my prescription was changed without my knowledge!

What size needles did they give you and what do you normally have ?
You're right, they should of informed you, but as with any prescription changes, you are generally not told and only find out when you see what you've been given, as long as they have resolved this then that's good news, but it really shouldn't of happened in the first place.

I usually use 6mm and have done for years but they changed it to 5mm. I know it's not a massive difference but I was worried about proper insulin absorption. Just found it strange that they changed it! All sorted now though.

I Don, t take insulin but I inject victoza. I often get sent either 5mm products 6mm needles. I was told by the pharmacist that it depends if they can get the required ones. If they can,t, they go back to my gp to issue another script for a different six needle. My surgery never inform me.
Sometimes with none bipolar meds, my gp often changes the doses, more often then not to a lower dose. My surgery again never inform me and I only notice when I get my meds. It is annoying
