I've been on (Degludec) Tresiba U100 for a while now and I'm injecting 70 units per day in one go. I'm about to change to Tresiba U200, but I'm a bit confused. Do I still take 70 units as before or should I be taking just 35 units. Thanks.

I'd contact your DSN. We can't really inform you on here.

I don't have a DSN

Who do you see for your diabetes care ? No one here can advise you in regards to doses, it's against forum rules so you will need to contact the team you see for your diabetes care whether that's your GP or consultant, as someone has changed your prescription so they should of advised you at that point.

It's complicated, but the hospital changed me from U100 to U200 but they don't manage my diabetes neither do my doctors. I requested the change to U200. I don't want to change the dose 70 units of U100 is right. I just need to know will I still take 70 units of U200 or does that half to 35 units?

As it's not dosing advise I feel safe to inform you the units stay the same, it simply comes in different pens so you'll inject half as much fluid when you dial the same dose.

I use U200 and I'm glad I didn't listen to my hcp or pharmacist as they both insisted I should take half my normal units. I simply called Novonordisk to get it clear, as the leaflet said different than my hcp.

Thank you Antje77. I am / was confused as to weather I take the same number of units or just half, I've seen conflicting statements, even the hospital were not sure. So 70 with the U100 and 70 with the U200. Once again thanks.
