CHANGING GP

I was diagnosed about 18 years ago. I was 16 and living away from home.

it was hard....strict...no flexibility at all. I went through all the denial...the tough times... after putting some effort into it found it was not working very well
got told this was more to do with technology not being very advanced.

since then I have done one departments version of the DAFNE....they have not been very supportive or helpful...condesending perhaps...

it seems to me now that if you have a gem of a medic or nurse hold on to them.... if not for the rest of us....its that continued search for someone who treats others like they would like to be treated....I know lots of medics and nurses are stretched....but there are some very basic facts appearing here that a lot of us could have done with knowing and may have been able to make a difference some time ago.

I believe where there is a will there is a way.... and now I am not going to be slowed down, put down, or told to put up with, when I know I CAN make a difference..
I think I finally found my voice!!!!!!!!!

if I had written down all daft and unhelpful comments over the years I could probably write a book!!

go with your instinct for the search for help and advise....these forums are proving it is out there...

thanks to all
