Hi all, it is me again...

Currently I take my Lantus about 8pm in the evening, I think I would prefer to take it in the morning.

What is the best time to take it, or what works for you?

If I was to change the time, how do I go about it, to I tak eit 1 hour ealier each day until I reach the desired time.

or

Do I take 1/2 in the evening, then full does in the morning...

Any suggestions gratefully received..

Hi Marky74,

To the best of my knowledge, a 50/50 split is usually recommended for an AM/PM changeover.
So do half your normal dose at 8pm and the other half at 8am, then carry on giving the full dose
at 8am thereafter.

It's also possible to use Lantus in a 12 hour split dose permanently.

Good luck,
timo.

50/50 split will give a more even coverage throughout the day. Lantus won't work for 24 hours for many people, me included, which can result in lower bg in the period after injecting and higher bg later in the day.
