Changing to pen & prick on holidays

Hi all I’ve been on the Medtronic pump & g4 sensor for the last 3 months & while the pump itself is great, I’m finding it hard to keep them attached or connected to my skin. I have 3 sets of patches to keep the sensor in place & the pump comes unstuck sometimes as well. Now I’m on holidays & I’ve changed both twice in the first 2 days after going in for a swim. I’m constantly on edge so thinking of switching back to insulin pens & testing strips for the remaining week as my nerves are shot. Has anyone else done this & has it worked? Any advice would be great thanks

Not in the pump brigade so can’t offer any experience, I use CGMs and had those fall off during holidays due to showering, being sweaty and swimming! Oh and walking into door frames!
Will the sensor be any use without the pump? Just to save you the finger sticks?
Local pharmacy to acquire some patches or whatever to keep your devices in place?
I still remember the first few times I swam wearing a CGM, I was constantly scanning the bottom of the pool as I was convinced the little ‘lift button’ would fall off.
Hoping you find a work around so you can enjoy the rest of your holiday.
