Cheap strips on ebay - are sites like this part of the reason?

If you follow the link I posted, the site is offering to buy any number of all makes of test strips off anyone as long as they have a use buy date of over a year - I suspect a % of them will then be resold by the purchser on ebay or other reseller sites

From what I gather they are providing diabetic supplies to people in the states who can't afford medical insurance at a cost that is affordable. I don't see anything particularly reprehensible in that.

I find it very strange why you only get prescribed a tub of fifty strips. I get 2 x 50 tubs of strips in a sealed box here in Australia max of 200 at any one time.

These strips cost me $1.30 for the 100 box through the NDSS, I have just filled a new six monthly approval form for my GP to sign so I can get them for the next six months.

Hi. I live in Australia too but even with my NDSS card I pay about $7 per container of 50. What form should i get from the GP and does this apply to any brand or are there restrictions? I am type 1.5
Many thanks, Leeanne

The reason I pay $1.30 for 100 strips is because of the PBS Centrelink concession card I have.

The form is for T2, so I do not know about 1.5, and are for any brand of strips. I get Accu-Chek Performa and Abbot Freestyle Lite strips.

I get 150 per month and you'd have to prise them from my cold, dead hands to sell them on. I need more than 150 why would I sell?
