Cheapest place to get test strips

To date GP's with uncaring attitudes, whom think they are diabetic consultants.
Hello All,

Wanted to ask please, if anyone has any ideas as to where to source the cheapest test strips for Glucomen LX machine.

My GP will not scribe these to type 2's, reason, they (GP's practice) do all the testing I will need done every 3 months, and home testing is pointless as it only gives you the immediate result blah blah blah.

Have written to MP about this whom says he has written to the CE of the local PCT, and am awaiting another reply.

In the meantime, did find 50 test strips on ebay for £10.00 but have not had any further success.

Any help appreciated.

Again i do not use the same strips but the strips I use I have been purchasing direct from the pharmaceutical company - maybe you can do the same.

My GP has not prescribed for me for over a year now and my diabetes is not under control so that is why I have been buying my own strips. However have now been started on insulin and the diabetes nurse is insisting that the surgery prescribe strips!! - time will tell!!
