Hi All, Has anybody any experience of drinking Cherry juice .The missus has just brought some home and i was thinking of diluting it with water and having a long refreshing drink, cannot find out what the Carb contents are ?
If there's no info on the label, contact the maker. It's probably full of sugar.
Alternatively, get some ketostix and dip it. Ketostix probably won't identify sucrose, only the reducing sugars, such as glucose..

I really miss fruit juices and envy anyone who can drink them without increasing their blood sugars. I was advised that I could have a medicine glass full it I diluted it by an equal amount and used it as part of a meal, i.e. not on it's own. Tried this but it increased my readings. Consoled myself by being able to eat quite a few fruits in moderation, including cherries.
As Type 1's diabetics use fruit juices for treating a hypo I decided that they were not for me.
Cherry sounds lovely and I hope that you have no adverse effects from drinking it. I used to drink all the exotic ones as well as orange. Happy days.
My dad suffers with gout and drinks cherry juice bought from the local health food shop and it helps him....personally I wouldnt touch it even though unsweetened
I've tried some of the cherry juice diluted with water - itwas very nice but even at half the recommended concentration it sent my sugars soaring even tho on the face of it the carbs weren't bad - unfortunately I eventually had to chuck the whole bottle which at a tenner a go really hurt!
