Chia seeds. Chia seeds offer nutritional value unmatched by other grains; they are rich in omega-3s and fiber, and very low in carbohydrates. I experimented by adding a generous amount of these seeds to a loaf of bread, and the effect was impressive (I know my own body, after all). The first thing I noticed when eating the chia-seed bread was a soothing sensation in my intestines; next, I felt my heart working wonderfully; and finally, I experienced remarkable mental clarity and agility. To incorporate the seeds into the bread, you first need to "activate" them: simply place the chia seeds in a glass and cover them with water. Within 10 minutes, the seeds absorb the water and swell up—that is the moment to add them to the bread dough or simply eat them with a spoon.

I understand your reaction, @Hoodiegirl3, for seeing Chia seeds soaking in water. To me that looks like frogspawn.
I use chia seeds because of the high level of omega-3. I eat them in my morning porridge. I mix half a portion of oats (20g) with a desert-spoonful of chia seeds, soak them overnight, then microwave the porridge in the morning. I add frozen blueberries.
