Chickpeas

If you are low carbing then probably not..check out the amount pf carbs per 100g on the tin/packet..
 
I find at lunch time if I eat more than a quarter of a lidl tin of chick peas it puts my BG up to near 8.

Last night I made two chick pea burgers for dinner and used soya flour, egg, olive oil, red onions cheese, garlic and herbs. All with a lot of green veg.
I used a full tin of chick peas between two of us and I peaked at 6.5
White and red beans seem better!
Red lentils with cheese are OK for me.

@knackered It depends on how many you eat, how you prepare them, what you eat with them and your own personal tolerance for carbs. Best to give them a try and test and test. Good luck.
