Chocolate

I discovered these today

4 of the almonds were quite enough, to give a chocolate hit that didn’t impact my BG

You can't tell us something like this without telling us where you discovered them!
I think I need those in my life...
It depends on what you’re looking for! Dark chocolate over 70% has less sugar and more antioxidants, which is great for a rich, intense flavor. If you’re managing diabetes, diabetic chocolate can be a better option since it’s made with sugar substitutes.
I have tried 'diabetic chocolate' once, and was very quick to give the remainder of the bar away. A higher percentage cocoa chocolate bar doesn't have more carbs than those diabetic chocolate bars but they sure taste a lot better!

@Antje77 . The clue is on the front of the packet….
M&S food.
Not sure that is available to you, though. :(

I got the clue with @lovinglife 's reply, I take it M&S is a supermarket?
Of course it's available for me, I'll just buy in bulk when visiting the UK in October once I find an M&S store! :hungry:

Greetings @Cornymine and welcome to the forum.

Most so-called diabetic chocolate is made by replacing the sugar with sorbitol. Unfortunately, that too can raise blood glucose and, as mentioned above, has a laxative effect. It's expensive and, on top of that, it doesn't taste too good, IMO, so not recommended.

Once again, welcome.

How did you stop at 4????

I sometimes make my own by dipping nuts into 85% but these look so tempting and easy :hungry:

There are M&S food shops even in towns that do not have the large Marks & Spencer department stores. However, the large M&S stores (those that sell clothes, furniture, etc.) have a bigger selection of foods. All is good quality.
