Choosing first pump and cannula for pregnancy

I've just been approved for a pump but been offered no discussion on whether to choose the Dana or Ypso, or whether to go for steel or teflon cannulas. I've watched videos and it all just looks very complicated (after 26 years of injections). I'm also worried about my breastfeeding toddler and new baby yanking things out and what clothes I'll be able to wear. Would be grateful to hear people's real experiences please!

I can't help with the pumps as im on a tslim pump but cannulas are all v similar. I was on a pump when I had my daughter ( 17 yrs ago ) and can say with confidence she/me never ripped a cannula out. I have ripped a couple out in 18+ yrs of pumping and it hurts no more than ripping a plaster off! I have used both teflon and steel. Steel is much easier to insert as it's just like injections, you just stab it in, the teflon ones take a minute or so, I have in the last week switched back to teflon and I do watch a YouTube video when ive changed them but before long I will be doing it without thinking again.
I like how simple steel ones are to use but I find they can be uncomfortable for me to sleep on if they are anywhere apart from my lower stomach and I want to rest my stomach for a bit so im going back to teflon so I can use other sites for a bit. That is what you need to remember, you might have a pump for 4 years but you can change cannula choice during that time. Good luck.
